Job description

Progress Container, a TRG company and affiliate of Schwarz Partners, is currently seeking a Structural Designer to support our Winder, GA facility. The Structural Designer will develop conceptual and structural solutions for customer-specific projects in the P.O.P Display & retail markets.

Essential Job Functions for This Position:

1. Use knowledge and expertise to work directly with customers and/or sales teams during the conceptual phase.
2. Develop concepts and create fully finished CAD designs for the complete scope of display delivery to customers.
3. Collaborate with production and fulfillment teams to revise projects for maximum efficiency.
4. Make recommendations to maximize sales, product quality, and customer satisfaction.
5. Support team members with mockups, sample cutting, and general lab duties as needed.
6. Occasionally accompany sales representatives to present new products or designs to customers or prospects.
7. Assist with production art when required.
8. Comply with company policies, procedures, and all applicable laws and regulations.

Required Education / Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent and five years of drafting or related experience.

Preferred Education / Experience:

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree and five years of experience in corrugated design.

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Proficiency with Artios CAD / CAPE.
• Strong communication skills, including clear writing and good grammar.
• Ability to connect 2D and 3D designs.
• Proficiency with industry-standard software such as Artios, Adobe, and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent time management and crisis management skills.
