Job summary

Scaffengineering in San Antonio, TX, is seeking a detail-oriented Structural Designer to turn engineering concepts into clear, buildable structural drawings and models. This full-time role supports the engineering team across disciplines while allowing flexible work-from-home depending on skill.

You will produce drawings, revise plans, coordinate with architects and engineers, and ensure compliance with codes and project requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field.
• 2+ years of structural drafting/design experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Familiarity with building codes and industry standards.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Position Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Structural Designer to support our engineering team in developing accurate, high-quality structural drawings and models. Key Responsibilities:

• Create and revise structural drawings, plans, and 3D models for a variety of projects
• Assist engineers with design development, calculations, and documentation
• Prepare construction documents, including plans, sections, and details
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other design professionals
• Ensure drawings comply with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements
• Review shop drawings and respond to RFIs (Requests for Information)
• Maintain organized project files and documentation
