Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Structural Design Technician for our Northwest geography focused on water and wastewater infrastructure. You will contribute to 3D structural modeling in Revit or Bentley platforms, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a hybrid work setting.

The ideal candidate has CAD drafting experience, strong attention to detail, and is comfortable expanding into related disciplines as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in CAD drafting or a related technical field.
• Trained in Revit or Bentley Microstation software.
• 5+ years of CAD drafting/design experience.
• Attention to detail and willingness to learn other disciplines.
• Experience doing Structural design in 3D modeling software such as Autodesk Revit or Bentley OpenBuilding/iModel.

We are looking for a grounded and confident Structural Design Technician in our Northwest geography. Our team has a strong backlog of water and wastewater treatment, conveyance, and on river facilities projects that will be supported by our multi discipline design team in the local office. It’s one thing to dream up new solutions. At Jacobs, we also deliver them.

Here’s what you’ll need

• Associate’s degree (AA) Degree in Computer Aided Drafting and Design or similar technical degree.
• Trained in Revit or Bentley Microstation software.
• 5+ years of CAD drafting/design experience
• Attention to detail and willing to learn other disciplines if needed.
• Experience doing Structural design in 3D modeling software such as Autodesk Revit or Bentley OpenBuilding/iModel.

Ideally, Here’s What You’ll Also Have

• Advance Autodesk Revit or Bentley OpenBuilding/iModel experience for Content creation (families/blocks/dynamic)
• Structural design/detailing experience
• Experience in water/wastewater/infrastructure structural design projects
• Bentley MicroStation Experience
• Familiarity with AISE Steel Construction Manual

The base salary range for this position is $54,100.00 to $108,900.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
