The role requires a Civil Engineering background with an emphasis on structures and an EIT, with potential for PE licensure in the future. The engineer will provide direction to detailing, design, sales and production, interpret contract documents, and coordinate with architects, engineers of record and fabricators to ensure compliance with

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Civil Engineering ideally with emphasis in structures.
• Be an EIT and capable of pursuing PE licensure in the future.
• Prior structural and/or joist experience preferred.
• Knowledgeable in interpreting structural drawings and contract documents preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Design steel joists, joist girders and steel decking per SJI and SDI standards.
• Create roof/floor designs for retail, schools, warehouses and similar projects.
• Design structural steel and connections to applicable codes and standards.
• Provide engineering direction to detailing, design, sales and production teams.
• Interpret contract documents and communicate design requirements with architects and engineers of record.
