Job summary

JVA, Inc. is seeking a full-time Design Engineer for our Fort Collins, CO office. You will apply diverse structural engineering knowledge to plan, design, and coordinate project phases with senior staff.

Responsibilities include modeling in REVIT, generating plans and details, and performing RAM/RISA analyses while supporting field observations and RFIs. A Bachelor’s degree and Colorado EI timeline are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a relevant engineering field.
• Ability to obtain Colorado Engineer Intern designation within six months of hire.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to collaborate within a team and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural design and detailing tasks for projects of varying size.
• Produce structural graphics, plans, and details using REVIT; coordinate with BIM staff.
• Create building analysis models using RAM or RISA.
• Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and perform field observations.
