Job summary

The Forensic Engineering Department at Isett specializes in evaluating existing buildings and designing practical repair solutions. We seek a Structural Design Engineer to support repair, renovation, and design projects arising from forensic investigations.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience with structural analysis of existing structures and design of repairs or ground-up projects, with work on wood, steel, concrete, and masonry. A PE license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering with focus on Structural Engineering.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Prepare calculation packages and drawings.
• Perform non-invasive and invasive building inspections.
• Design structural solutions for existing residential and commercial buildings.
• Design ground-up structures as required for repairs or new builds.
• Prepare construction documents, calculations, and technical details for repair designs.
• Interface with property owners, facility managers, and project teams.
• Support project management from assignment through invoicing.
