Job summary

Dogwood Industries in Bothell, WA is seeking a Structural Design Engineer to translate customer requirements into CAD solutions. You will create AutoCAD 2D/3D drawings and prepare project documents for clients and Manufacturing Team customers.

You will collaborate with in‑house and third‑party design teams, maintain product standards, perform material takeoffs, and develop BOMs. A background in architectural, engineering, and construction is preferred.

Qualifications

• AutoCAD and/or Revit proficiency required.
• 2 years’ experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 5+ years without degree.
• Experience in construction or industrial production.
• Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with PDF editing software such as BlueBeam and/or Adobe.

Responsibilities

• Create AutoCAD drawing sets inclusive of structural, architectural, and product features.
• Defines project requirements from development through order entry, manufacturing, and delivery.
• Develops and maintains product standards to fulfill customer requirements.
• Performs material takeoffs and develops BOMs for procurement.
• Reads and understands technical information and collaborates with third‑party engineers.
• Supports manufacturing and installation activities by addressing engineering challenges in real time.
