POSITION PURPOSE:

The Design Engineer (DE) is an entry-level engineering position. The DE is required to have passed or is preparing to take the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam. The Design Engineer works in a collaborative team environment under the supervision of senior engineers. The Design Engineer performs routine engineering assignments requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering principles to complete project requirements. They are assigned specific tasks on a project, and are expected to use their education, intelligence and critical thinking to perform job responsibilities. The DE will learn the different aspects of a project and learn how to complete tasks required to assemble a set of plans.
