Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Structural CADD Designer in California to deliver bridge and transportation projects. You will develop structural designs from concept through construction documents using MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer and AutoCAD, collaborating with engineers and project managers across multiple offices.

The role requires 5–7 years of bridge drafting, proficiency in MicroStation and AutoCAD, and familiarity with Caltrans standards.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field.
• 5-7 years of bridge or transportation structural drafting and design experience.
• Proficiency with MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil3D.
• Experience developing bridge plans and structural details for transportation projects.
• Familiarity with Caltrans drafting standards and design practices.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

As transportation networks evolve and communities continue to grow, we're looking for a Structural CADD Designer to help deliver innovative bridge and transportation projects throughout California.

You'll join a collaborative team of engineers, designers, and project managers focused on delivering impactful infrastructure solutions for state, local, and federal clients. In this role, you'll support the development of structural designs from concept through final construction documents while utilizing the latest digital delivery tools and workflows.

Location

This position will be based out of any of our CA offices including Irvine, CA, Los Angeles, CA, Riverside, CA, Sacramento, CA, San Francisco, CA, Redding, CA, Oakland, CA, and San Diego, CA and may include travel to other local offices.

What You'll Do

Here’s what you’ll need

The base salary range for this position is $79,700.00 to $124,450.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
