Structural Project Engineer

Our Atlanta office is looking to hire a Structural Project Engineer. The ideal candidate will be a licensed PE in Georgia, have a minimum of 5 years of experience and will work within a team of professionals designing and developing plans for bridge and retaining wall structures. We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, wants to work on complex and engaging projects, and desires increasing levels of responsibility.

Location

This position will work out of our Atlanta office on a hybrid work schedule.

The Impact You Will Have

• Prepare and review structural and geometrical calculations for bridge design projects
• Lead structural designers on bridge design projects
• Prepare and review plans, specifications, cost estimates, and reports necessary for bridge projects
• Work with clients in the development of scopes of work and fee estimate proposals
• Perform complex modeling analysis and/or design
• Check and sign off on basic design calculations, quantities, and plan elements
• Model, analyze and/or design elements of a project and coordinate development with other elements and disciplines within the project
• Work independently and develop task deliverables in a competent and reviewable manner
• Apply advanced software knowledge to project elements and details
  
  

What We Are Looking For

• B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline required
• PE License in Georgia or ability to obtain through reciprocity, additional PE license in Tennessee is a plus
• Minimum of 5 years of bridge design experience but 8 years of experience is preferred
• Experience working with GDOT and local municipalities
• Excellent communication skills
• Progressive experience with developing contracts and utilizing Bently CAD and design software
• Strong organization and leadership skills with a track record for adhering to design budgets and schedules
• Ability to perform complex analysis and design
• Ability to assemble a complete design package for assigned elements or projects
