Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Phoenix, AZ office is seeking Engineering graduates to join our Structural team in 2026. You will work on diverse projects including high rises, hotels, and bridges, with mentorship and formal training throughout.

You will perform design and analysis of vertical structures, develop drawings and specifications, and collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to deliver innovative solutions. This role is on-site in Phoenix with expected growth and professional development.

Qualifications

• ABET accredited engineering degree by Summer 2027 in Civil/Environmental or Structural Engineering.
• Working knowledge of Revit and Civil 3D.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
• Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to contribute to a positive work environment.
• Ability to work independently and as a team.

Responsibilities

• Work on structures such as high rises, apartments, hotels, and bridges.
• Perform engineering tasks with on-the-job and formal training and mentorship.
• Assist in design and analysis of vertical structures and ensure code compliance.
• Prepare structure calculations, drawings and specifications.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers on solutions.
• Utilize structural design software and produce accurate models.
• Participate in field inspections and site visits when needed.
• Support reports, presentations and client-facing documentation.
