Job summary

PlanIT Group, LLC is seeking an experienced Structural Analysis engineer responsible for stress analysis of primary and secondary airframe structures, including updates to reflect design changes. The role requires hands-on FEA with NASTRAN/PATRAN, CATIA V5, and UNIX/Linux familiarity, plus ability to read complex drawings and models.

You will work with MRB stress analysis and post-processing tools such as TMP Vision and SLIM, in a team-driven aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Airframe primary structure layout and sizing.
• MRB stress analysis experience with metallic and composite structures.
• Experience with FEA software including NASTRAN and PATRAN.
• SLIM pre-processor and TMP Vision for post-processing desirable.
• CATIA V5/3DX highly desired.
• Familiarity with UNIX/LINUX operating systems desirable.
• Ability to interpret detail, assembly, and installation drawings and models.

Experience using SLIM as a pre-processor and TMP Vision for post-processing desired. Experience with CATIA V5/3DX highly desired. Familiarity with UNIX/LINUX operating systems desired. Candidate must be capable of interpreting detail, assembly, and installation type drawings and models.
