Jobbeschreibung

Strativ Group is partnering with an innovative aerospace and defence organisation to find a hands-on Structural Analysis & Test Engineer to support the development, analysis and qualification of mission-critical hardware.

This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer who enjoys combining advanced structural analysis with practical, hands-on testing, taking hardware from initial analysis through to physical verification and qualification.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Performing structural analysis and finite element analysis (FEA) across mechanical assemblies, electronic enclosures, PCBs and electromechanical hardware.
  • Evaluating static strength, fatigue life, buckling, modal response, random vibration, shock and thermal-structural interactions.
  • Developing structural verification plans, qualification tests, load cases and acceptance criteria.
  • Supporting physical test execution, including instrumentation, data acquisition, test troubleshooting and post-test inspection.
  • Correlating FEA models with physical test data and investigating failures or analysis-to-test discrepancies.
  • Working cross-functional with Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Manufacturing, Quality and Test teams to drive robust hardware design.
What We're Looking For
  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Mechanics or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in structural analysis and physical testing of mechanical, electronic or electromechanical hardware.
  • Proficiency with FEA tools such as ANSYS, Abaqus, NASTRAN or FEMAP.
  • Strong knowledge of structural dynamics, fatigue, vibration, shock and thermal stress.
  • Hands-on experience with test instrumentation, including strain gauges, accelerometers, thermocouples and load cells.
  • Experience using MATLAB, Python or equivalent tools for engineering calculations and test-data analysis.
  • Strong problem-solving, technical communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Important:

U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance are required.

Preferred Experience

Experience with aerospace or defence hardware, PCB dynamics, environmental qualification testing, nonlinear structural analysis and FEA-to-test correlation. An active U.S. security clearance is also advantageous.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

You'll have the opportunity to take real ownership of structural verification, work hands-on with complex hardware, and directly influence design decisions across the development and qualification lifecycle.
