Job summary

Zoolatech, a leading North American fashion retailer, seeks a Mid-Level Software Engineer to strengthen the backend platform. You will design, develop, test, and deploy scalable backend services in an Agile setting, collaborating with product and design teams to deliver robust software.

You will contribute to code reviews, optimize performance, and help shape system design while staying current with industry trends and best practices.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of backend software development.
• Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized applications.
• Experience with Terraform or other IaC tools.
• Experience using monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk and New Relic.
• Solid understanding of relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs; familiarity with GraphQL is a plus.
• Proficiency with Git and modern version control workflows.
• Good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
