Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an accredited Neurology residency.
• Fellowship in Vascular Neurology/Stroke preferred.
• Board certification or board eligibility in Neurology.
• Current, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state.
• Eligibility for VA privileging and credentialing.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive evaluation and management of acute ischemic stroke, hemorrhagic stroke, and cerebrovascular disease.
• Participate in acute stroke call coverage, including thrombolytic and thrombectomy decision-making.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including neurointerventional radiology, neurosurgery, emergency medicine, and rehabilitation medicine.
• Contribute to stroke quality improvement initiatives and DNV Comprehensive Stroke Center certification standards.
• Opportunities for outpatient stroke/TIA clinic, and inpatient consultative service.
• Engage in resident and fellow teaching through our academic affiliation with Baylor College of Medicine.
