Job summary

Hog Technologies is hiring a Striping Technician in West Palm Beach, FL. The role involves driving, loading and unloading equipment, and operating striping machines on outdoor construction sites. You’ll work long days, often in varying weather, and must pass background checks and drug testing.

Required: high school diploma or GED, 2+ years as a laborer, valid driver’s license with clean record; TWIC preferred. Travel is 75–80%, and safety training provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years of experience as a laborer; pavement marking and signs experience is needed.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; must drive a company truck.
• TWIC card preferred.
• Knowledge of safety regulations in phosphate mines; Phosphate Card a plus.

Responsibilities

• Repeated physical effort including driving several hours per day, standing and walking for extended periods, loading/unloading equipment, and lifting at least 50 pounds.
• Operate long line striping machines from elevated platforms or truck beds.
• Use hand/power tools and manual dexterity for equipment operation.
• Work outdoors in challenging conditions, including high traffic areas and exposure to fumes.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings on construction sites and ensure safety around machinery.
• Read and follow instructions, plans, and reports in English.
• Adapt to a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays; work independently or with a team.
• Pass background check, MVR, and drug tests; TWIC preferred.

What you’ll do

• Repeated physical effort including driving for several hours per day or at a time, standing and walking for extended periods, loading and unloading equipment into and out of company vehicles, walking on varying ground surfaces and frequently lifting a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Working from elevated platforms, ladders or truck beds running switches on long line striping machines.
• Equipment Operation – operating hand/power tools, manual dexterity to operate keyboards and smart phones, physical agility to use arms, legs and hands repetitively.
• Working outdoors, working safely under adverse environmental and weather conditions which include high speed traffic areas, heavy construction equipment, fuel fumes and construction substances.
• Comfortable around vehicles moving through work zones and maintaining constant awareness of surroundings on construction site including placement of machinery and equipment, other employees and construction activities.
• Vision adequate to see moving vehicles, read highway construction MOT signs, read instructions, manuals, reports, and construction plans.
• Hearing adequate to hear approaching vehicles, audible commands at a distance from supervisors, conversations in person, and over the telephone.
• Communicating clearly in English—both written and verbally, ability to complete daily paperwork as required by supervisor.
• Working a flexible schedule which can include day or night shifts, weekends and/or holidays, adjusting to a changing work schedule, working overtime and working individually and as a team with other employees.
• Valid driver's license required, will require passing MVR and controlled substance test, may require background and criminal record check; knowledge of local driving rules and regulations.
• Must maintain company standards post‑employment for background checks, criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience as a laborer; pavement marking and signs experience is needed.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record because the position requires the candidate to drive a company truck.
• Ability to work with others.
• Ability to work with little supervision.
• Mechanical aptitude is necessary.
• Ability to appropriately represent Waterblasting.com to customers.
• A Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC card) preferred.
• Knowledge of the safety regulations in phosphate mines plus a Phosphate Card a plus. Company will provide Phosphate Safety training and other site‑specific training on each assignment.
• Works in hot, cold, dusty, and noisy area.
• Must be able to speak, read and write English as part of the job.

Work Environment

This job operates in a variety of environments based on the location of the job that could lead to hot, cold, dusty, and noisy hot areas.

Travel

This position has a 75‑80% travel requirement.
