Job summary

TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver direct patient care in a high-acuity setting. Engage in therapeutic communication, ensure safety, and coordinate care with an interdisciplinary team to support our mission and patient outcomes.

Ideal candidates hold ACLS/BLS, with at least one year in ICU/CCU. This position follows a Monday through Friday 8-4:30 schedule and includes comprehensive benefits through TriStar.

Qualifications

• RN licensed with ACLS and BLS required.
• At least 1 year of critical care experience (ICU/CCU) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within the scope of the RN Practice Act.
• Utilize therapeutic communication in daily practice.
• Maintain a safe therapeutic environment and identify nursing needs.
• Plan individualized patient care with an interdisciplinary team.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and assist as charge nurse when needed.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Registered Nurse performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act. Utilizes therapeutic communication in daily practice. Maintains a safe therapeutic environment. Identifies nursing problems as they relate to the individual needs of the patient. Plans individualized patient care utilizing an interdisciplinary approach. Participates in performance improvement activities. Provides care and coordinates participation that fosters the goals of the hospital’s mission and vision statement. When acting in charge nurse role, registered nurses are responsible for day-to-day activities to ensure the delivery of quality patient care in a therapeutic environment. Make staff assignments based on patient need and the skill of the staff. Serve as role models and clinical resource for the staff. Respond in a timely manner to requests for information or follow-up with physician, staff or patient issues.

Cardiovascular Services (Non-Invasive Stress lab) proficient in 12 lead EKG interpretation, Bruce Bruce Protocol, Holter monitors, stress echo, treadmill stress, and chemical nuclear stress testing.

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Required
• Basic Cardiac Life Support Required
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• At least 1 year of critical care experience required: ICU/CCU.

TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center is a 159-bed facility providing quality healthcare to Sumner and surrounding counties for more than 45 years.
