Job summary

Andromeda Systems Incorporated (ASI) is seeking experienced aircraft structural engineers to perform detailed stress analysis for U.S. DoD and commercial projects.

The roles are based in Jacksonville, FL, and require hands-on analyses, repairs planning, and leadership of project components within a dynamic team. Candidates should have 7+ years in airframe analysis with FE study experience (Nastran/Patran, Femap) and a Bachelor’s or Master’s in engineering.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of work experience in airframe analysis.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering from a U.S. accredited college or university.
  • Mechanical or aerospace engineering preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and self-motivate.
  • Knowledge of aircraft static strength analysis methods, finite element analysis, and strain life fatigue methods.
  • Experience with designing and substantiating aircraft repairs.

  • Implement creativity and flexibility in daily activities by relying on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Use Finite Element Software pre and post processors such as Nastran/Patran and Femap.
  • Develop reports that demonstrate designs and satisfy all relevant design requirements.
  • Provide oversight and technical direction to less experienced engineers.

  • Experience with designing and substantiating aircraft repairs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in stress analysis
  • Experience with NAVAIR or Air Force engineering and reporting procedures
  • Product development work experience as a stress engineer
