Job summary

Avera St Luke's Hospital in Aberdeen, SD is seeking a PRN position for support in cardiac testing and patient care. The role follows a day shift, Monday through Friday, 7am-3:30pm, with hours driven by departmental need.

The role involves assisting with ECGs, rhythm strips, stress tests, and related duties, while maintaining records and participating in safety and quality programs. A high school diploma is required, and healthcare experience is preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Cares for assigned patients under the guidance of the physician and respiratory therapist on duty.
• Assists with cleaning and disinfecting of department equipment.
• Assists with planning and development of new programs.
• Assists with orientation of new hires in the department.
• Participates in educational programs, in-services and co-workers meetings.
• Assists with collection and maintenance of records as needed by the Quality Assessment and Improvement department, Critical Access Hospital accreditation, OSHA guidelines, or as may be required by law.

A Brief Overview

Responsible for the collection, transmission, record keeping and charging of various types of cardiac testing including, but not limited to; electrocardiograms, rhythm strips and stress tests.

What you will do
