Job summary

D1 Training in Oswego Township, IL, is an athletic-based group training facility for youths and adults. We empower athletes to improve by delivering a world-class coaching philosophy and personalized instruction to help them reach their goals.

As a D1 Coach, you will motivate athletes, tailor workouts, and lead group sessions and personal training while maintaining a high-energy, safety-first culture. You will build relationships, coach diverse programs, and drive client progress and retention.

Qualifications

• Has a valid AED/CPR/First Aid certification.
• Has at least one valid certification accredited by the NCCA.
• Minimum of 1 year of strength & conditioning-related experience in group, team, or personal training.
• Has a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or a related field (preferred).
• College Level or higher experience in sports participation/specialties.
• Specific sport expertise in the field (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Foster a positive, supportive, and motivating environment for all athletes without compromising safety.
• Maximize client retention and contribute to client acquisition through best-in-class service: coaching, training, nutrition, and accountability.
• Understand, Teach, Modify, and adapt movements that are best suited for the individual at hand.
• Reduce an athlete's risk of injury by focusing on proper technique and movement patterns. Safety First!
• Coaching group workouts, personal training, and teams.
• Delivering accurate, industry-leading educational advice on strength, speed, and nutrition.

• A D1 Coach must be dedicated to training and improving the lives of D1’s members Scholastic (ages 7-18), Adults, and Teams, by:
  • Exhibiting passion, expertise, high energy, a positive and motivating attitude, strong character, and over-the-top customer service
  • Starting and finishing workouts on time
  • Assessing and aligning each member with the proper program
  • Building and maintaining relationships with each D1 member
  • Coaching group workouts, personal training, and teams
  • Delivering accurate, industry-leading educational advice on strength, speed, and nutrition
  • Teaching proper form and technique and keeping all our athletes safe
