Job summary

The City of Waco is seeking a Streets Maintenance Worker to perform a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled tasks related to maintaining and repairing streets, roadways, and infrastructure. The role supports the Public Works Department under basic supervision.

Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and a valid Texas Driver’s License upon hire; a year of manual labor experience is preferred. The position may require after-hours work during emergencies.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs unskilled and semiskilled manual labor to maintain and repair streets, roadways, and infrastructure.
• Operates City vehicles and equipment; sets up work zones and assists operators.
• Inspects and maintains equipment, follows safety rules, and reports problems or injuries.
• May respond afterhours for emergencies and performs other related duties as assigned.
