Job summary

City of Iowa City is seeking a Maintenance Worker I for the Streets division. The position is full-time, with a typical 7:00am–3:30pm schedule and wage range of $47,507.20 to $61,172.80, dependent on experience.

Under immediate direction, you will maintain, construct and repair streets, sidewalks, catch basins and storm drains, and you will remove snow and leaves from roadways. A CDL with required endorsements and a clean driving record are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 4–6 months related experience.
• Valid Iowa CDL with air brake and tank endorsements within 6 months of hire.
• Satisfactory driving record required.
• Pre-employment drug screen, background check, and age 18+ required; residence within 25 miles of Iowa City.

Responsibilities
