Job summary

The City of Odessa is seeking a Street Maintenance Supervisor to coordinate daily street maintenance activities and lead a crew in a busy Public Works environment. You will ensure safety standards, manage equipment and materials, and respond to emergencies while supervising staff and work orders.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 2 years of heavy equipment experience, and a valid TX Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years' work experience operating heavy motorized vehicles and maintenance equipment required.
• Texas State Commercial Driver's License Class A with Tanker Endorsements required.

Responsibilities

• Leads street maintenance crews and ensures work meets PWD standards and safety rules.
• Coordinates and schedules staff, vehicles, and equipment and reviews work.
• Trains crew in maintenance procedures and proper use of equipment.
• Prepares daily activity reports and usage reports for materials and equipment.
• Oversees safety on work zones and ensures equipment is in safe condition.
• Responds to emergencies and supports public safety and property protection.
• Operates trucks and heavy equipment and reports mechanical issues.
• Performs Street Maintenance Worker duties as needed to meet workload.
