Job summary

The Town of Pecos City in Pecos, Texas seeks an Equipment Operator to maintain streets and storm drainage. You will operate a range of light to heavy equipment and support resurfacing, patching, sweeping, and grading projects.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or equivalent and a valid Texas Class C Driver's License; one year of equipment experience is preferred. CDL preferred; pre-employment drug screening and background check required.

Qualifications

• One year of experience with light to heavy equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate light to heavy equipment for street and storm drainage maintenance.
• Assist resurfacing, oiling, patching, sweeping, grading and shaping roads.
• Inspect and perform routine vehicle/equipment maintenance.
• Identify and report mechanical problems requiring repair.
• Maintain a clean job site and proper tool condition.
