Job summary

Asplundh Construction, LLC is seeking a Street Light Technician to support the Street Light Construction and Maintenance Department. The role involves installing and maintaining streetlights from bucket trucks and ladders, and climbing wooden poles as needed.

You will work outdoors in varied weather, communicate with property owners, follow regional safety policies, and complete tasks with a focus on safety.

Qualifications

• Must be able to safely enter and exit aerial devices.
• Must pass pre-employment background and drug screening.
• Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain CDL.
• Willingness to travel for out-of-state emergency storm work.
• Capable of lifting up to 80 pounds occasionally.
• Able to wear PPE including FR clothing.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain streetlights and related equipment from aerial devices.
• Climb wooden poles and work from ground as needed.
• Communicate with property owners about planned work.
• Follow regional safety guidelines and policies.
• Maintain safe and clean job sites, manage traffic as needed.
• Work 4-10 hour days, 4 days per week; overtime possible.
