Job summary

Brivo, Inc. is hiring a Streaming Media Engineer - SDK in Austin to design and optimize cross‑platform video playback SDKs (Web, Android, iOS) and architect core components for high-performance streaming.

You will collaborate with Agile teams to scale solutions handling 16+ concurrent video tiles and drive testing/optimization for low TTFF. The role requires 5–7 years of cloud and SDK experience, expertise in C/C++/Rust, and strong knowledge of video codecs and streaming protocols.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of delivering cloud-based services and SDKs.
• Proficiency in C, C++ and/or Rust.
• Experience with video codecs and decoding pipelines.
• Familiarity with streaming protocols (HLS, UDP, TCP, WebSockets, RTSP).
• Strong focus on latency, memory management, and TTFF.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize cross-platform video playback SDKs (Web/Android/iOS).
• Architect core components for transport, demuxing, routing, and QoE telemetry.
• Collaborate in Agile teams to scale 16+ concurrent video tiles.
• Drive automated testing and performance optimizations for worldwide playback.
