Job summary

Spurs Sports & Entertainment (SS&E) in San Antonio, TX, is seeking a Marketing Automation Coordinator to advance fan engagement and automate communications. You will establish, support, and enforce automation processes, assist with marketing goals, and improve database practices across franchises and venues.

Ideal candidates bring a BA/BS in a related field, 2+ years in email/database marketing, and experience with marketing automation, CRM, and GDPR‑compliant data capture.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in email or database marketing (HubSpot preferred).
  • Experience with marketing automation, marketing strategy, email marketing, CRM and ticketing platforms preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including a strong background using Excel to sort, filter and bulk update data.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and support multiple high‑level positions, while demonstrating autonomy and independence.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and information with poise and diplomacy.

Responsibilities

  • Focus on improving email communications and processes, while seeking new opportunities to reduce or streamline unnecessary communications (based on reporting, research, AB testing, use of AI).
  • Assist in improving the quality of our HubSpot database by implementing and enforcing procedures to uphold our data integrity and deliverability.
  • Work in partnership with internal stakeholders to design, build and schedule email sends to various database segments.
  • Build automated multi‑step journeys to replace manual tasks.
  • Leverage protocol and best practice to ensure creation of forms and all data capture adhere to GDPR standards.
  • Work closely with internal collaborators to streamline Fan Club communications in real‑time based on email performance and manage contact database.

Marketing Auto Coord

Job Summary

This candidate will play a key role in our efforts to focus on fan engagement and automation of communications for Spurs Sports & Entertainment. They will work to establish, support and enforce automation processes/procedures, assist with organizational and marketing goals, and improve general database practices for all franchise and venue communications. This individual will be able to make campaign suggestions based on data‑driven analysis and industry trends, with a desire to leverage AI to optimize departmental efficiencies.

Who You Are
  • A minimum education level of: BA/BS in Communications, Marketing, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in email or database marketing (HubSpot preferred).
  • Experience with marketing automation, marketing strategy, email marketing, CRM and ticketing platforms preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including a strong background using Excel to sort, filter and bulk update data.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and support multiple high‑level positions, while demonstrating autonomy and independence.
  • Have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and information while demonstrating poise, tact and diplomacy.
  • Strong teamwork, attention to detail, communication and innovative proficiency required.
  • Familiarity with generative AI tools, and a desire to explore problem‑solving and creating efficiency utilizing AI.
  • Hybrid work environment: 4 days in office, with the ability to work remotely 1 day per week.
What You’ll Do
