Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a data-driven analyst to join our consulting team in New York. The role focuses on solving complex strategic, operational, financial, and organizational challenges for diverse clients.

You will analyze data, develop actionable recommendations, and support implementation while collaborating with senior executives. The ideal candidate has a 0–2 year track record, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with SQL, R, Python, and visualization tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in economics, mathematics, data science, statistics, finance, accounting, healthcare administration, healthcare informatics, engineering, environmental science or related field.
• A GPA of 3.5 or higher is highly desirable.
• 0-2 years of work experience, including internships.
• Proficiency in Excel is required; experience with MS SQL Server, R, Python, Stata, SAS, Tableau, Snowflake, Alteryx, Databricks, or Teradata is highly desirable.
• The willingness and interest to expand into these capabilities is a must.
• Ability to perform complex research accurately, thoroughly, and efficiently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly to different audiences.
• Thrives in a dynamic work environment, with the ability to take ownership of tasks and drive them to completion.

Responsibilities

• You'll work alongside experienced consultants and senior executives.
• Help organizations solve complex strategic, operational, financial, and organizational challenges.
• Analyze complex business challenges, develop actionable recommendations, and support implementation efforts.
• Conducting market, operational, financial, and organizational analyses to support board and executive decision-making.
• Analyzing quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Developing presentations, reports, dashboards, and other client deliverables.
• Supporting strategic planning and business process optimization initiatives.
