Job summary

Strategic Financial Associates LLC in Bethesda, MD, seeks a Financial Planner to develop and deliver comprehensive financial planning strategies for clients. You will collaborate with Financial Advisors to analyze client situations, identify opportunities, and translate recommendations into actionable plans.

The ideal candidate has a CFP designation (or pursuing it), a Finance/Business/Economics/Planning background, and at least five years of planning experience.

Qualifications

• CFP designation preferred; pursuing candidates will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive financial plans and analyses for clients with Advisors.
• Analyze a client’s complete financial situation including investments, retirement, cashflow, taxes, insurance, estate planning, and benefits.
• Identify planning opportunities, risks and strategies.
• Coordinate with Advisors to evaluate alternatives and develop recommendations.
• Prepare projections, scenario analyses, and planning materials for meetings.
• Participate in client meetings to explain analyses and support implementation.
• Coordinate with investment, insurance, operations and advisory teams to implement recommendations.
• Work with CPAs and attorneys as needed to execute strategies.
• Maintain accurate planning data within CRM systems and stay current on tax, retirement and estate planning developments.
• Pursue ongoing education including CFP credential maintenance.
