Job summary

Blackstone seeks a Vice President for Real Estate Legal and Compliance in New York. The role links fund formation attorneys with transaction attorneys and the Real Estate Legal & Compliance team, collaborating across Real Estate Acquisitions, Asset Management, and Tax to support funds.

The candidate will draft and review private placement memoranda, oversee AML reviews, and implement fund policies. A JD and at least six years of experience are preferred, with strong teamwork and independence.

Qualifications

• JD preferred and licensed to practice law.
• Minimum of six years of relevant experience.
• Strong team player and willingness to collaborate across functions.
• Ability to independently manage multiple workstreams with good judgment.
• Demonstrated initiative, creativity, and drive.

Responsibilities

• Draft and review legal documents for private placements and fund content.
• Review investor side letters and fundraise related provisions.
• Coordinate AML reviews with US and Luxembourg teams.
• Develop and maintain fund-specific policies and procedures.
• Oversee compliance in acquisitions, dispositions, and fund investments.
• Support fund accounting, tax, and portfolio management teams on LPAs and side letters.
• Assist client group with investor fund transfers and conversions.
• Conduct quarterly compliance reviews of LPA and side-letter obligations.
• Coordinate annual compliance meetings with outside counsel and internal teams.
• Prepare regulatory filings (Form D, Form PF, AIFMD, Form ADV).
• Manage junior team members in executing responsibilities.
