Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a student intern to join our Transportation Advisory Services Team in locations such as Austin, Chicago, or Bellevue. You will help deliver integrated strategic communications for transportation clients, including websites, emails, social media content, and presentations.

This internship involves crafting collateral that explains technical content to diverse audiences, supporting meeting management and client events, and collaborating with project teams.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled and taking courses toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Planning or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Support content creation including websites, emails, social media content, presentations, and meeting management such as task forces and client events.
• Help craft collateral explaining technical content for clients, stakeholders, and lay audiences.
• Assist with project teams to deliver integrated strategic communications products for transportation clients including departments of transportation, transportation commissions, toll authorities, and planning agencies.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm, initiative, and the ability to meet deadlines; strong writing skills are essential.
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to multiple assignments across the transportation group.
