Job summary

ROBERT MORRIS UNIVERSITY is seeking an Admissions Counselor in the Admissions - Transfer and Online department. The role focuses on recruiting undergraduate transfer, international, traditional adult, and non-traditional adult students to the University.

You will counsel applicants on admissions and financial aid, use Slate and Banner for outreach, and travel to colleges and events to recruit students across terms and locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• One to three years of experience in enrollment management or related field.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle confidential information and diverse needs of campus visitors through superior customer service.
• Ability to manage projects and work independently; willing to work irregular hours, evenings, and weekends.
• Highly motivated with a positive attitude; strong commitment to customer service and student focus.
• Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation to travel on behalf of the university.

Responsibilities

• Recruit prospective transfer, international, traditional adult, and non-traditional adult students for all terms and freshmen for spring and summer terms.
• Use Slate and Banner to correspond with prospective students.
• Counsel prospective applicants on admissions and financial aid processes and opportunities.
• Explain enrollment management practices, procedures, and policies to prospective students, parents, and community college counselors.
• Provide follow-up to students and parents via phone, letters, email, and appointments.
• Complete phone calls, face-to-face visits, and written correspondence.
• Review admission applications, evaluate credentials and make admission decisions.
• Schedule and visit community colleges, places of employment, and other locations.
• Attend college fairs and recruiting programs to attract students.
