Job summary

Hoffman Mechanical Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Training & Development Specialist to own and coordinate all training activities across the organization, reporting to the HR Director.

You will drive training strategy, onboarding, apprenticeship programs, and learning initiatives across multiple locations. This role partners with Operations, Safety, and department leaders to improve retention and performance, while managing budget, compliance, LMS duties, and using AI tools to enhance delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Organizational Development, Education, HR, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience within HVAC, mechanical services, construction, manufacturing, or related trades preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in training delivery, workforce development, or apprenticeship program coordination.
• Experience with apprenticeship programs, DOL standards, and technical certification processes strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the coordination and day-to-day execution of all training initiatives across the organization.
• Develop and maintain the organization's overall training strategy and roadmap.
• Establish training standards, policies, and quality benchmarks across locations.
• Manage the apprenticeship program end-to-end, including DOL registration and compliance.
• Maintain training records, certifications, and compliance documentation.
• Build, deliver, and improve technical, leadership, onboarding, and professional development programs.
• Coordinate OEM, safety, technical, sales, and administrative training initiatives.
• Own LMS administration, enrollment tracking, reporting, and troubleshooting.
• Leverage AI tools to improve training delivery and engagement.
• Identify SMEs to support instructor development and training delivery.
