Aurora in Texas is seeking a mid-senior Media Relations Manager embedded in Dallas to own Aurora's media presence in the region, build strong relationships with reporters, and drive proactive coverage that shapes how the public understands autonomous freight.

You will collaborate with executives and cross-functional partners to develop announcements, craft clear messaging, and coordinate on-site media moments, while leveraging your deep media network to secure high-impact opportunities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of communications experience with a track record of earned coverage.
• Deep network of regional and national reporters in business, tech, transportation, or related beats.
• Experience serving as a company spokesperson and media training executives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to translate technical topics into clear narratives.
• Experience working cross-functionally to align on announcements and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Own Texas media strategy and drive proactive coverage.
• Cultivate a robust network of reporters covering transportation, tech, business, and policy.
• Serve as primary contact for media visits in Texas.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to align on announcements, messaging, and timing.
• Prepare and support spokespeople for media interviews, press events, and on-site engagements in Texas.
• Develop media materials including press releases, briefing documents, Q&A, and talking points.
