Job summary

The California Lawyers Association (CLA) seeks a Technology & Business Systems Manager to lead CLA’s business systems, technology operations, and Web Team, ensuring a superb staff and member experience. You will own the Association Management System, oversee data, integrations, reporting, and continuous improvement, and partner with departments to turn needs into solutions.

You will also supervise the Web Team, guide projects and performance, and manage CLA’s external IT vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in IT, CS, or business systems.
• 5+ years in managing business systems, enterprise apps, or association tech with teams.
• Experience with AMS/CRM systems and data reporting.
• Experience leading vendors, budgets, and cross-functional projects.
• Knowledge of website CMS such as WordPress; cybersecurity and accessibility basics.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and develop the Web Team with a service-oriented culture.
• Set priorities, allocate resources, manage performance, and support development.
• Coordinate technology initiatives across departments and with vendors.
• Own CLA’s AMS and core business systems including configuration and integrations.
• Translate business needs into practical technology solutions and improve processes.
• Oversee data quality, reporting, security, documentation, and governance.
• Develop and execute technology strategy and manage budgets and contracts.
• Provide strategic oversight of CLA’s website and digital platforms.
