Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, writing, or a related field.
• Minimum of five years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong writing and editing skills with proficiency in AP style.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of communication products with competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead a broad range of communication initiatives and outreach activities focused on NASA STEM programs.
• Develop, implement, and integrate key messages across communication products that educate, inform, and strengthen relationships with NASA stakeholders.
• Conduct research and support communication strategy development, planning, message management, and the execution of communication products.
• Write and edit communication materials and STEM curricula aligned with NASA mission content and OSTEM objectives.
• Support student programs and engage with participants in public and outreach settings.
• Create and integrate communication plans for use across various digital and traditional platforms.
• Produce routine and ad hoc reports for management and customers.
