Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 5+ years of corporate state income tax experience.
• CPA preferred.
• Industry-specific licensing may be required.
• Strong knowledge of corporate state income tax compliance, audits, and tax research.
• Experience with ONESOURCE tax software required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with Power BI, Power Query, Power Pivot, Alteryx, or similar data analytics tools preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Financial services industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage the corporate state income tax compliance process, including consolidated, unitary, and separate company tax returns.
• Lead audits of state income tax, sales and use tax, and franchise tax.
• Support tax planning initiatives and analyze business changes for tax impact.
• Maintain and enhance tax reporting tools and data analytics for compliance.
• Coach and develop a small tax team and collaborate with finance partners.
