Job summary

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years procurement experience in renewable projects.

  • Strong Excel/PowerPoint/Word proficiency.
  • ERP system proficiency and risk assessment ability.
  • Proactive, with excellent communication and teamwork.

Description and requirements

If you want to shape the future of energy, we are looking for a Strategic Sourcing Manager II to join our Procurement team!

Who you will work with

The Strategic Sourcing Manager II execute the tender process under the supervision of technical, financial, and legal experts from Local and Global Headquarters. In general, the Strategic Sourcing Manager I perform the complete procurement process including vendor sourcing, issuing of the tender, evaluating proposals, recommending the awarding of, finalizing the contract, and booking it into Enel Green Power North America's (EGPNA) ERP system.

The Strategic Sourcing Manager II is responsible for procurement activities supporting all assigned divisions of EGPNA. Focus will mainly be on long-term and medium-to-high value (large capital investment) contracts related to the generating assets for renewable technologies. It is the Strategic Sourcing Manager's responsibility to ensure that equipment and services are procured to provide maximum value to EGPNA in terms of quality, price and schedule while minimizing delivery risks.

What you will do

Responsibilities, include, but not limited to:

  • Conduct the complete procurement process including issuing of the tender, evaluating proposals, recommending the awarding of, finalizing the contract, and booking it into EGPNA's ERP system;
  • Ensure that the procurement process is executed according to EGPNA policies and procedures, and documented in order to allow transparency and traceability throughout;
  • Identify all value items and their relationship within the scope of the procurement and set the tender strategy according to a well-defined awarding criteria;
  • Coordinate the flow of information internally and externally maintaining all stakeholders apprised on progress;
  • Finalize the commercial and contractual deal as a basis for the contractual finalization through standard general conditions and/or managing exceptions to those together with Legal and the main stakeholders;
  • Achieve the highest value for the procurement while minimizing delivery, quality, and performance risks. Find compromises and solutions to drive negotiations to a close under time pressure;
  • Actively participate in vendor relationship management, including general communications and meetings, qualification, and vendor rating, maintaining and improving vendor and market knowledge, and sourcing new vendors.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering/Construction/Economics/Mathematics/Statistics or equivalent
  • Master's degree in engineering/Construction/Economics/Mathematics/Statistics would be a plus
  • Previous experience in power plants and/ or large infrastructural projects strongly desirable (experience in renewable energy projects a plus)
  • Any industry-recognized international certification related with Project Management and/or Supply Chain/Procurement is a plus
  • 3-5 years of experience in procurement activity and/or management of Engineering & Construction Projects in the Renewable Industry Sector
  • Ability to work under normal supervision, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments demonstrating good knowledge of the entire process. May Provide informal guidance to new team members
  • Ability to solves problems in straightforward situations; analyze possible solutions using technical experience and judgment and precedents
  • Advanced knowledge of Office Package (Excel, Access, Power Point, Word)
  • Technically proficient with ERP systems and other analytical tools
  • Proficiency interpreting risks related to terms and conditions
  • Proactivity and effective verbal and written communication
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
  • Innovation and lateral thinking
  • Adaptability and flexibility to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity, and change
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment is preferred
  • Up to 20% of domestic travel with limited international travel
  • Spanish and/or Italian is a plus

The pay range for this position is $96,645.00 to $144,968.62 annually. The base pay actually offered will be based on several factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, work experience, education, and internal equity.
