Job summary

SP Industries Inc. in Pocomoke City, MD seeks a Sourcing Manager to create strategic sourcing solutions for consumables labware products. You will negotiate supply agreements, coordinate ERP requirements, and manage supplier performance to meet cost and delivery targets.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in purchasing, strong communication and analytical skills, and a track record of reducing costs while ensuring quality. This hybrid role involves 3-4 days onsite in MD.

Qualifications

• BA or 10-15 years of relevant job experience.
• 5+ years of purchasing or related materials experience.
• Track record of negotiating supply annual agreements.
• Excellent proactive communication & organization skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, meet deadlines and follow through.

Responsibilities

• Supplier evaluation and selection, including negotiating the terms and conditions of our business.
• Sourcing new vendors by category and reviewing with management
• Supplier management and auditing
• Annual cost reduction execution meeting annual goals
• Work with engineering to actively reduce SKUs / complexity in support of best cost solutions
• Autonomous decision making within approval guidelines
• Assist site leadership in the development of process and policy
• Communication and integration with related functional areas.
• Assist with general responsibilities within the tactical purchasing department.
• Liaise with engineering to ensure appropriate standards are used in material requirements.
