Job summary

The candidate will manage multiple sourcing projects with cross‑functional stakeholders, delivering cost savings and stronger vendor terms while operating in a remote, PST‑hour aligned environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in technology strategic sourcing or IT procurement.
• Hands-on with RFPs, RFQs, and competitive bidding.
• Experience negotiating MSAs, SOWs, and SaaS agreements.

Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing projects for software, SaaS, cloud, IT infrastructure, hardware and IT services.
• Run RFPs/RFQs, compare suppliers, evaluate pricing, and select vendors.
• Negotiate MSAs, SOWs, renewals, pricing, and other terms.
• Identify cost savings, cost avoidance, better pricing and reduce supplier risk.
• Manage multiple sourcing projects and vendor requests concurrently.
• Collaborate with IT, Legal, Finance, Cybersecurity, Privacy, PMO, Quality, and business teams.
• Own sourcing projects from start to finish with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrate quantified savings and total cost of ownership analyses.

Job Title: Sr Sourcing Specialist and/or Category Lead#1020966

Position – 12+ Month

Location : (REMOTE) , PST Hours

Pay rate : $55-60/hr On W2

SUMMARY:

• Lead sourcing projects for software, SaaS, cloud, IT infrastructure, hardware, telecom, digital solutions, and IT services.
• Run RFPs/RFQs, compare suppliers, evaluate pricing, and select the best vendor.
• Negotiate contracts, MSAs, SOWs, renewals, amendments, pricing, and other commercial terms.
• Find opportunities for cost savings, cost avoidance, better pricing, and reduced supplier risk.
• Manage multiple sourcing projects and vendor requests at the same time.
• Work closely with IT, Legal, Finance, Cybersecurity, Privacy, PMO, Quality, and business teams.
• Manage supplier performance, renewals, risks, and business continuity.
• Support TSA exits by finding and onboarding replacement technology vendors/services.
• Research technology markets, suppliers, pricing, and new solutions.
• Help improve procurement processes and category strategies.

2. Technology Sourcing Experience

They must have sourced/procured technology, preferably experience with several of:

• SaaS / Software
• IT Infrastructure
• Telecommunications
• Digital Solutions
• IT Professional Services

General supply-chain procurement alone is not enough.

Must have hands‑on experience with:

• RFP
• RFQ
• Competitive bidding

Must have experience negotiating commercial agreements such as:

• MSA
• SOW
• Software License Agreements
• SaaS Agreements
• Renewals
• Amendments

5. Cost Savings / Commercial Value

Candidate should be able to demonstrate:

• Cost savings
• Spend reduction
• TCO analysis

Quantified savings are a major plus.

6. Stakeholder Management

Must be comfortable working with multiple departments, especially:

IT + Finance + Legal + Cybersecurity + Privacy + Procurement + Business teams

7. Ability to Manage Multiple Priorities

This isn't a role where someone handles one sourcing project at a time.

They need to be able to manage:

Multiple RFPs + negotiations + contracts + renewals + suppliers + stakeholder requests simultaneously.

They should be able to own a sourcing project from beginning to end with minimal supervision.

Look for someone who is:

5+ years Technology Strategic Sourcing/IT Procurement experience + SaaS/Cloud/Software sourcing + RFP/RFQ + Vendor Selection + Contract Negotiation + MSA/SOW + Cost Savings + Supplier Management.
