Job summary

Chart Industries, Inc. is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager to develop and execute sourcing strategies for castings, forgings, machined and fabricated components.

This role leads supplier selection, contract negotiations, cost reduction initiatives, and supply base optimization with cross-functional teams. You will establish a resilient, scalable supply chain to support growth and operational excellence, manage RFQ/RFP activities, evaluate suppliers, and drive continuous improvement while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; 3–7+ years in sourcing/procurement.
• Experience negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for designated commodities.
• Lead RFQ/RFP activities, supplier evaluations, and sourcing decisions.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms to achieve best total cost.
• Analyze quotations, cost structures, and manufacturing processes for cost savings.
• Execute annual cost reduction initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
• Conduct market research, supplier benchmarking, and industry analysis.
• Lead supplier rationalization and consolidation initiatives where appropriate.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Quality on product transfers and supplier qualification.
