Job summary

Chart Industries is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead sourcing strategy for metal-based components across North America and beyond. You will manage supplier selection, negotiations, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver a resilient, cost-effective supply chain.

The role focuses on RFQ/RFP processes, supplier development, and aligning with Engineering and Quality during product transfers and introductions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in related field.
• 3–7+ years of sourcing/procurement experience.
• Experience with castings, forgings, machined or fabricated components preferred.
• Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.
• Proficient with ERP systems and Excel; able to work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for designated commodities and supplier categories.
• Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers to support growth and resilience.
• Lead RFQ and RFP activities, supplier evaluations, and sourcing decisions.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms to achieve best total cost of ownership.
• Analyze supplier quotations, cost structures, and processes to identify cost savings.
• Drive annual cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement across the supply base.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Quality during product transfers and supplier qualification.
