Job summary

Sidley Austin LLP seeks a Strategic Sourcing Lead – Data and AI to partner with stakeholders across the Firm and lead strategic sourcing initiatives focused on Data and AI technologies, while supporting related technology and professional services categories as needed.

You will develop sourcing strategies for AI platforms, license models, and vendor relationships, negotiate key agreements, manage supplier risk, and drive cost optimization and commercial value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years in strategic sourcing or procurement.
• Experience negotiating complex technology contracts.
• Experience evaluating technology pricing models.
• Ability to develop sourcing strategies and lead negotiations.
• Working knowledge of Data and AI technologies.
• Ability to partner with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives and develop category strategies for Data and AI products and services.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and address risks.
• Lead RFPs and information requests; analyze supplier and market options.
• Analyze proposals, pricing, terms, and total cost of ownership.
• Evaluate Data and AI pricing models and negotiate favorable terms.
• Coordinate with Legal, Privacy, IT Security on contract structures.
• Develop knowledge of the Data and AI supplier marketplace and risks.
• Manage key vendor relationships and drive value realization.
