Job summary

Vizient, Inc. is seeking an experienced sourcing and contracting leader to drive high-impact strategies across healthcare categories. You will guide complex negotiations, draft and refine contract language with Legal, and manage end-to-end sourcing activities.

The role is hybrid, requiring three days in the office with locations in Irving, TX; Chicago, IL; and Centennial, CO. You will leverage market intelligence and financial analysis to deliver measurable client value while building strong

Qualifications

• Degree in business, supply chain, legal studies, healthcare administration, or related field.
• 5+ years in healthcare, clinical, or pharmacy field.
• Expertise in drafting, redlining, and negotiating complex terms and conditions.
• Proven ability to lead complex sourcing initiatives.
• Exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills; communicating to executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiation of complex contract terms and structure innovative solutions meeting client needs.
• Partner with Legal to draft, refine, and validate contract language for accuracy, compliance, and risk mitigation.
• Manage the full sourcing lifecycle from opportunity assessment to implementation support.
• Develop sourcing strategies based on spend analysis, market trends, benchmarking, and supplier dynamics.
• Identify and propose cost-savings initiatives grounded in financial analysis and market intelligence.
• Oversee contract maintenance, including amendments, renewals, compliance evaluation, and performance monitoring.
• Use analytical tools and contracting platforms to support workflow efficiency, documentation accuracy, and savings tracking.
• Present negotiation updates, sourcing strategies, risks, and recommendations to clients and internal leadership.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Communicate complex strategies and negotiations clearly to executive-level audiences.
