Job summary

Trex is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Specialist II to help develop category strategies, create bid packages, and analyze market data for best value in materials and services. You will be a key member of the Strategic Sourcing and Supply Chain team in Winchester, VA.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in business or related field, 3–5 years in supply chain or procurement, and strong negotiation skills. Aims to drive cost savings and robust supplier relationships while ensuring supply

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business or related field; ISM certification a plus.
Three-to-five years of supply chain, sourcing or procurement experience.
Relevant work or military service will be considered.

Responsibilities

Learn, develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned areas of spend.
Research, identify and qualify best value sources using market data and cost modeling.
Effectively communicate category knowledge, updates, recommendations and supplier performance.
Identify, escalate and resolve areas of risk to ensure continuity of supply.
Develop ideation and deliver annual cost savings initiatives.
Demonstrate strong negotiation and contracting skills that build supplier relationships.
