Job summary

Industrial Scientific in Pittsburgh, PA seeks a Sourcing Analyst to join the Procurement team and report to the Mechanical Commodity Manager. You will execute commodity strategies to improve cost, productivity, quality, and innovation across the global supply base, analyzing spend and market conditions to align with business needs.

Responsibilities include developing high-quality sources of supply, issuing RFQs, evaluating suppliers, managing contracts, and driving cost savings through data

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, business or related field.
• Experience in procurement, strategic sourcing and data analytics.
• Knowledge of supply chain finance and cost-saving practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and sustain sources of supply for materials and services.
• Execute commodity strategies and provide reports and analyses.
• Manage global supplier base with scorecards and reviews.
• Source materials to strengthen the supply base and support strategies.
• Develop RFQs, evaluate suppliers and select finalists.
• Negotiate, implement and manage supplier contracts.
• Use data analytics and benchmarking to drive cost savings initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and category managers.
• Travel up to 10–20% to source and manage suppliers.
