Job summary

Illumia seeks a strategic Social Media Manager to own organic social presence, employee advocacy, and platform expansion including YouTube growth. You will coordinate content across Growth Marketing, Events, Brand, Product Marketing, and Engagement to maintain a cohesive voice and schedule.

You'll partner with the Senior Communications Strategist and HR on adoption of the employee advocacy program, track engagement, and continually optimize our social strategy across channels to drive awareness

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• 3-5+ years of experience in social media management or community management.
• Proven experience managing organic social media programs and content calendars across multiple platforms.
• Experience with social media management and social listening tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or similar).
• Strong writing skills for social‑specific formats and platform‑native content.
• Strong project management, organizational, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes a strategic plan for Illumia’s social media presence to include platform expansion and messaging.
• Builds and publishes an activation plan to grow YouTube presence using existing video assets.
• Owns and manages the enterprise social media calendar, coordinating content from marketing teams into a unified publishing schedule.
• Owns Sprout Social employee advocacy program end-to-end: adding new content, monitoring submissions, and tracking results.
