Sonic Automotive in Charlotte, NC is seeking an Accountant in the Shared Services - General Accounting department to perform processing- and transaction-level accounting while gaining exposure to higher-level functions.

This role helps transfer functions from dealership level to a centralized location to improve efficiency and quality, with responsibilities including reconciliations, reporting, and collaboration with dealerships, lenders, and manufacturers.

Qualificações

• Accounting degree or equivalent with relevant coursework.
• Proficiency in Excel required.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Enter bill-of-lading information into the Shared Services BOL tracking depository.
• Assist with general department tasks such as progress/status tracking and reporting.
• Obtain and pay off inventory financing ("floor plan").
• Assist senior accountants in monthly floor plan reconciliations.
• Assist senior accountants in monthly manufacture-to-accounting inventory reconciliations.
• Assist senior accountants in monthly bank reconciliations.
• Document dealership processes to facilitate expansion of Shared Services.
• Cross-train with team and share best practices.
• Communicate with dealership, lender, and manufacturer contacts to resolve issues.
