Job summary

New York Life is seeking a Service Operations Intern for a 10-week summer program (May 2026–August 2026) at our Philadelphia, PA office. The role is hybrid—three days on site and two remote—and aimed at rising juniors and seniors pursuing General Business or related fields.

You'll contribute to strategic initiatives, learn how the business operates, attend development activities, and gain exposure to tools like Excel.

Qualifications

Must be a rising junior or senior at an accredited 4-year university or college
Cumulative GPA 3.0 or higher
Interest in service, project management, process engineering, or strategic management
Experience in leadership roles or campus activities
Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure and prioritize multiple tasks

Responsibilities

Assist in design/implementation of tools for career progression within Service Operations
Help analyze call data to identify insights and trends
Support development/enhancement of Excel-driven staffing models
Maintain core documentation for the department (communications, materials, presentations)
Assist with AI use cases and GPT support
Help build a KPI dashboard to monitor risk and performance
