KBR, Inc. in El Segundo, CA, seeks a Strategic Senior Acquisition Support Specialist to lead acquisition activities for ACAT I programs within MILSATCOM systems engineering.

You will interface with DoD customers and government civilians to support planning, execution, and compliance. This role requires an active DoD Secret clearance, a bachelor’s degree, 5+ years in DoD weapon systems acquisitions, and strong knowledge of DoD policies and DoDI 5000.85/5000.87.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide advice to Program/Project Managers regarding acquisition strategies, schedules, contracting, budgeting and execution.
• Develop, draft, tailor, and coordinate program planning and execution documents per DoDI 5000.02 and related DoD instructions.
• Support development of the ASP, RFI/Market Research, RPP, Milestone requirements and SOWs.
• Lead and coordinate all acquisition activities in planning/execution events.
• Prepare status reports, coordinate staff meetings and executive program briefings.
• Provide assessments of contractor design planning/execution to evaluate progress and risks.
• Coordinate program element staffing and funding with government customers.

KBR is seeking a Strategic Senior Acquisition Support Specialist with DoD 5000.85 and DoD 5000.87 and ACAT I experience to join our team in El Segundo, CA.

KBR (formerly LinQuest) is the prime contractor on the Military Satellite Communications (MILSATCOM) Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (MSEIT) contract.

You will join a Systems Engineering team defining the next generation of space communication systems supporting Space Force Military Satellite Communications. You will support Systems Engineering & Integration activities in a multidisciplinary and collaborative environment. You will interface and collaborate with SE&I team members, contractors, government civilians and members of the USSF to provide acquisition management development and support.

The MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (MSEIT) effort provides leading edge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) for the Space Force’s Space Systems Command. We support the Space Force’s acquisition of state-of-the-art Military Satellite Communications systems, providing global secure protected communications for our nation’s warfighters. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide advice to Program/Project Managers regarding acquisition strategies, schedules, contracting, budgeting and execution
• Develop, draft, tailor, and coordinate overarching program planning and execution documents as prescribed by DoDI 5000.02 / Acquisition Framework, and relevant DoD Instructions (DoDI 5000.85 and DoDI 5000.87), AF, and local unit instructions and policies.
• Support the development of the ASP, RFI/Market Research, RPP, Milestone Statutory and Regulatory requirements, Statement of Work, Compliance and Reference Document, Contract Deliverable Requirements List, and Rights in Technical Data and Software
• Lead and coordinate all acquisition activities in preparing for Planning/Execution events
• Prepare periodic status reports, coordinate, and execute periodic staff meetings and technical interchange meetings, and develop acquisition plans, schedules, and executive program briefings
• Provide technical and programmatic assessments of contractor design planning/execution reviews to assess progress, risks and issues, and the ability to achieve mission requirements
• Provide program element coordination, staffing and monitoring; advise and assist government customer regarding funding commitments, obligations, and expenditures

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with DoD customers
• Strong interpersonal skills, communication (oral and written), and presentation skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Basic Compensation:

$99,700 to $164,00 in California

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
